Normal vaginal discharge

Vaginal discharge is caused by mucus produced fromthe cervix, the lower part of the womb that leads into the vagina.

It helps keeps your vagina moist and protects it from infection.

Normal vaginal discharge is:

• clear or white
• not smelly
• thick and sticky for most of the menstrual cycle
• clearer, wetter and moreslippery around the time of ovulation this might not happen if you'reusing hormonal contraception

Mostwomen produce more discharge during pregnancy and less after the Testosterone deficiency (hypogonadism) .
